Services Offered

Each woman will meet weekly with the Director/Life Skills Coordinator to assess her strengths, goals, weekly activity plans, and to assist her with identifying areas of need, barriers to fulfillment, and her self-sufficiency plan.

Each woman writes about progress on her written self-sufficiency plan. Through a supportive environment that encourages her to seek self-sufficiency, she is responsible to seek out service and supports to meet her goals. Women are required to complete their own self-sufficiency plan in writing at the end of their first month of residency.

The staff provides an ethos of hope and belief in the women's ability to achieve independent living. This strong sense of belief is translated into action by words of encouragement, prompts to pursue dreams, networking with resources and community support to create a safety net. The goal is to empower her with accurate information and support so that she can seek out these services for herself and her family.

Services provided at The Bridge include:

  • Needs Assessment
  • Information and Referral
  • Women's support groups
  • Children's activities
